Kirchenburgmuseum Mönchsondheim (Open-air museum Kirchenburg Mönchsondheim)
In the heart of a small Franconian village is an open-air museum of a very special kind: all the museum buildings are in their original locations! Buildings from four centuries are grouped around a fortified church, including a school, a town hall, an inn, a grocer's shop and a small farm. Newly designed permanent exhibitions in the rooms of the fortified church provide information about this type of building, about viticulture, crafts and life in the Main Franconian village. In the permanent exhibition "archäosuntheim", excavation finds made on site can also be viewed.
