The Reinhart Cabinet is located opposite the Museum Bayerisches Vogtland in the historic hospital building. It was opened in January 2008 and named after Johann Christian Reinhart (1761-1847), who spent most of his life in Rome and gained fame as a classicist landscape painter.

The city of Hof owns 131 works by Reinhart, 33 of which are exhibited in the Reinhart Cabinet on a rotating basis. In addition, the Kulturkreis organises several exhibitions of other Hof artists every year.
