Jean-Paul-Museum Joditz (Jean Paul Museum Joditz)
The pastor's son Johann Paul Friedrich Richter, known as Jean Paul, spent eleven formative years - from the age of two to thirteen - in Joditz. He created a literary monument to his local teacher Knieling in "Leben des vergnügten Schulmeisterlein Maria Wuz im Auenthal".
The former parish garden now houses the museum, which documents the poet's childhood in the parsonage, but also the life of the successful author with all his quirks ... and his love of beer.
