It has always been about hunting at Schloss Wolfstein (Wolfstein Castle): In the past, the Passau prince bishops stayed here on their hunting trips, today it houses a museum that makes the subject of hunting come alive in its entire range. How the spider spins its web, how the lynx lies in wait for its prey, how the bird of prey behaves in a dive and, last but not least, how man goes stalking, are all explained here in a vivid and interactive way. An exciting museum that focuses on the animal world, its living conditions and use by humans, as well as the effects of hunting and fishing on society and the landscape.
