Historisches Ortsmuseum (Historical local museum)
The local history collection shows the meagre living and working conditions in Nordhalben around 1900. Additional home work was often necessary, as documented by original home workplaces of a cigar maker and a filet seamstress, among others. Relics bear witness to the "old" Nordhalben, which was almost completely burnt down in 1856. In addition, the museum reminds visitors of the German-German border that once ran in the immediate vicinity, but also of the reunification of 1989.
