Heimatmuseum Schliersee (Museum of local history Schliersee)
The "Schredlhaus" from 1447 was already standing when book printing arrived in Europe, it was already almost 50 years old when Columbus discovered America. And it has now been home to the Heimatmuseum Schliersee (Museum of local history Schliersee) for 100 years. Surrounded by the original smoke kitchen from the time it was built, the museum presents evidence of rural living culture and popular piety, traditional costumes from the 17th to 20th centuries and artistic glass from the local glassworks (1870-1914), as well as agricultural implements and tools and ceramic vessels from the stove workshop at Urtlbach, which can look back on a 500-year tradition.
