In a former salt barn from the 17th century, the local history museum displays its local history collection. There are exhibits on clothing, housework and farm work, popular piety and the salt trade, which was important for Rain. A 9 m² pewter figure diorama recalls the Thirty Years' War with the crossing of the Lech by the Swedish army near Rain in 1632.
