Heimatmuseum Ochsenfurt (Museum of local history Ochsenfurt)
One of the sights of the town of Ochsenfurt is the Heimatmuseum Ochsenfurt (Museum of local history Ochsenfurt) in the small castle on the Old Main Bridge. The little castle, probably built in the 14th century as part of the town's fortifications, has housed the municipal collection since 1959, the foundations of which were laid around 1900. Since its redesign in 1988, the museum has been divided into four sections dealing with the areas of "Town History", "Historical Viticulture and Cooperage", "Guilds" and "The Town Hall and its Responsibilities".
