In addition to the local history since the founding of Karlsfeld in 1802 and the meagre life of the moss farmers, the Heimatmuseum Karlsfeld (Local history museum Karlsfeld) informs about the fate and regional traditions of the displaced persons from the former German settlement areas in the East who found their new home in Karlsfeld. Also on display are exhibits on the economy and village life as well as everyday objects from the period after the Second World War.
