The local history museum opened in 1930 and is now located in the rooms of a former brewery ("tavern"). Collections on rural and middle-class living and working conditions, sacred art, prehistory and early history as well as historical weapons can be seen here. The museum also exhibits numerous paintings by the regionally renowned artist Franz Josef Bollhagen.
