The rich collections of the local history museum, founded in 1903, bring to life the history of Mindelheim's aristocratic town lords as well as the town with its bourgeois culture and rural environment. The visitor encounters evidence of ecclesiastical and traditional art from the 16th to the 19th century as well as trade. Traditional costumes, household goods and documents of customs complete the picture in the baroque rooms of the Franciscan convent Heilig Kreuz.
