The Museum of local history Altenthann (Heimatmuseum Altenthann) shows rural culture in the time before industrialisation as well as the profound changes brought about by mechanisation, electrification, new transport routes, modern communication possibilities and industrially manufactured products. Thus, rural work, agricultural crafts and forestry work, but also the work of women in the household and in agriculture as well as the life of children between school and work are presented.
