Heimathaus Nesselwang (Home House Nesselwang)
The Allgäu mercenaries had to fight day in, day out, and their opponent was hardship. A "mercenary" was a craftsman who had to run a small farm on the side to support himself. The Heimathaus Nesselwang (Home House Nesselwang) is housed in such a mercenary's house, and so the living and working conditions of two trades can be found here: on the one hand, a complete glazier's workshop from the late 19th century, and on the other, a small pre-machinery farm with stable and barn, as was still practised in the Allgäu for a long time. The Rott haulage business (Säumerei) was also important for centuries and has found its own place in the Heimathaus. The local history itself is documented under the title "Nesselwang in the mirror of time".
