Heimathaus Aying "Der Sixthof" (Heimathaus Aying "The Sixthof)
The Sixthof, built in 1583 and one of the oldest listed farmhouses in the district of Munich, is now a local history museum that gives an impression of rural life in Bavaria around 150 years ago. On the ground floor, you can visit the large smokehouse, the harness room, the parlour and the sleeping chamber. On the first floor are the servants' quarters and the "good chamber", which is splendidly furnished. Noteworthy are, among other things, the products of the Upper Bavarian furniture makers and stove ceramics from Upper and Lower Bavaria.
The Heimathaus is currently closed.
