Heimat- und Bauernkriegsmuseum Blaue Ente (Museum of local history and peasant war Blue Duck)
Thousands of "peasant victims" were claimed in the first battle of the Peasants' War in 1525 near Leipheim. Bavaria's only Peasants' War Museum presents the causes and consequences of this war and a mass grave discovered in the area, but also the "Twelve Articles", the first formulation of basic rights in Germany. The "City History" section tells of the Leipheimers' isolation as a Protestant minority for over 350 years and the test flight of the world's first jet fighter. Referring to its building, a former inn called the "Blaue Ente" (Blue Duck), the museum also provides insights into the brewing and innkeeping business around 1920. An outpost in the Weinhof is dedicated to historical mill technology.
