The commemoration and preservation of almost 800 years of East and West Prussian history is a concern of the East and West Prussia Foundation. In a depot exhibition, it shows selected exhibits on political and cultural events from the time of the Teutonic Order to the end of the Second World War. Regional art and literature are also represented.

Some of the cultural objects collected can also be seen in the permanent exhibition "Es war ein Land" (It was a country) in Altes Schloss Schleißheim (Old Schleißheim Castle).
