The special museum, which is dedicated to regional and supra-regional crafts, shows the changes in crafts since pre-industrial times with a collection of historical equipment: The example of the tanners shows the location-bound nature of the old craft. The history of the printing trade illustrates the mechanisation of work processes. The section "Crafts in the Industrial Age" focuses on the various development paths of urban crafts, using the example of a girdler's workshop, among others. Inter-professional topics such as the "Change in Craft Organisations", the "History of Apprenticeship" and "Women in the Crafts" give the museum visitor a comprehensive picture of craft culture.
