Gerbereimuseum (Tannery Museum)
Tanning was an honourable, albeit somewhat "disreputable" trade that has been documented in Tittmoning since the 16th century. The Gerbereimuseum (Tannery Museum) in the granary belonging to the local castle shows how leather is made from animal hide, which can then be further processed - into bridles or shoes, gloves or leather trousers - and what distinguishes a red tanner from a white tanner, for example. In this experimental museum, visitors can also become active and try out and touch some things.
