Ludwig Ganghofer (1855-1920), the co-founder of German Heimat poetry and one of the most filmed German authors, spent his formative childhood and youth in Welden. The exhibition "Lebensräume. The Ganghofers in the Swabian Holzwinkel" documents the life and work of the family in five partly multimedia presentations, from the schoolboy Ludwig to his father's work as a district forester.
