Friedrich Rückert is one of the most popular and productive poets of the 19th century and was also one of the most important scholars of oriental languages. Based on Rückert's lyrical "Erinnerungen aus den Kinderjahren eines Dorfamtmannsohns" ("Memories from the childhood years of a village official's son") about his childhood in Oberlauringen, the Friedrich.Rückert.Poetikum is dedicated to this unique personality and at the same time shows the historical reality of life in the village over 200 years ago.
