The poet and professor of oriental studies Friedrich Rückert, born in Schweinfurt in 1788, lived in an estate in Neuses near Coburg until his death in 1866. His descendants made the study, among other things, accessible to the public as a memorial with furniture, books and equipment in the condition left behind.
