In beautiful surroundings and embedded in a historic cultural landscape of gardens, orchards and fields, the Amerang Open-Air Museum with its 17 exhibit buildings invites visitors to take a stroll through the rural past. As a branch of the open-air museum at the Glentleiten, it shows rural building, living and farming from the Chiemgau and Rupertiwinkel regions. On the 4 hectare, easily accessible museum grounds, you can see originally furnished farmhouses, artistically decorated Bundwerkstadel, historic workshops and technical facilities. History, tradition and historical changes in society from the end of the 18th century to the 20th century are presented in an exemplary way.
