Freilicht- und Heimatmuseum Donaumoos (Open-air and local history museum Donaumoos)
Around 1790, the primeval moor was drained, cultivated and settled under Elector Karl Theodor. The museum of local history in the "Haus im Moos" (House of the homeland) is a reminder of the "people in the moss" who cultivated the mossy areas and made a home for themselves: Farmers, peat cutters, basket makers. In the open-air museum, two farms and a day labourer's house have been faithfully reconstructed and furnished. They show how the "Mösler" lived and worked around 1900.
