Fish farming has been practised in the Aischgrund for a good 1200 years, and over 4000 artificial ponds still characterise the landscape today. The Fischereimuseum Unterer Aischgrund (Fishing Museum Unterer Aischgrund) is located in a historic fish house. Here visitors get an impression of Franconian fish fauna and pond farming in the days of our grandparents. It is also the starting point for a 2 km long nature trail around the pond complex with numerous display boards on the subject of fishing and pond farming.
