With their dual function as watchmen and musicians, the Upper Palatinate tower keepers played an important role in the communities from the 15th to the 20th century. The Erstes Deutsches Türmermuseum (First German Türmermuseum) shows what their everyday life was like at the historical location: in the bird tower from 1466, the town's landmark and former home of the town tower. In addition to contemporary documents, the museum also brings the music of the tower keepers to life.
