Erinnerungsort Badehaus (Place of remembrance bathhouse)
The Wolfratshausen district of Waldram (formerly Föhrenwald) is more than just a terraced housing estate: it is a moving testimony to the region's contemporary history. Originally a model Nazi settlement for labourers, it was a way station for the death march from Dachau as well as a camp for Jewish displaced persons who had survived the Holocaust, until finally, in the 1950s, families with many children, displaced persons and war victims found a home here. The bathhouse is dedicated to this history and its traces as a place of remembrance, encounters and learning.
