Relief inlays and bubbling stone, that's enough to keep some people guessing. But what is a Huasnoantoutara? If you are now curious, the Egerland-Museum (Egerland Museum) is the right place for you. Far beyond the well-known Egerland music and Karlsbad wafers, it tells of the rich history and culture of this region in northwestern Bohemia, which was inhabited predominantly by Germans for 800 years - until their expulsion in 1945/46. Scenic depictions of "flight and expulsion" are, however, only one of the focal points of the permanent exhibition, which always makes visitors feel the close connection of the Egerlanders to their old homeland. For example, visitors can relive the charm of the fashionable spa business around 1900 in a staged "spa street" or learn about the special nativity scene tradition in the region around Marktredwitz. The Egerland study library with about 10,000 volumes and magazines as well as an art gallery with works by regional artists of the 20th century are attached to the museum.
