Crossword puzzlers know him as "Wallenstein's astrologer", but scientists know him as an important astronomer and mathematician: Johannes Kepler (1571-1630) went down in history primarily as the discoverer of the laws of planetary motion named after him. When he died in 1630, he was on a short visit to Regensburg. His house where he died now serves as a memorial house. It provides information about Kepler's life, his relationship with Regensburg and his work. With its largely faithfully reconstructed form and historical interiors, it also conveys a vivid picture of bourgeois life in the 17th century. Classical exhibits in the form of books, historical instruments and the like are supplemented by interactive elements. A "Science Lab" will also be created step by step on the 3rd floor: Interactive hands-on stations will vividly illustrate topics that Kepler dealt with and deepen the practical aspects of astronomy.
