"The 2nd Miracle of Altötting 1489", "The Battle of Rain a. Lech 1632", "The Altötting Alliance of Elector Max II. Emanuel of Bavaria with Emperor Leopold I in 1681 against the Turks", "The pilgrimage at the time of the Enlightenment" - these are just a few of the scenes to be discovered in the diorama show.Thousands of figures bring to life significant events from the over 500-year history of the Marian pilgrimage in 17 large-scale dioramas up to 5 m wide. Particular importance was attached to the historically accurate reproduction of the scenes, which the Munich sculptor and painter Reinhold Zellner (1903-1990) created with the help of his wife Dora and the painter Hans List (1902-1977) between 1957 and 1959.
