Highlights of the museum include the real skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, an original fossil of the prehistoric bird Archaeopteryx and "Dracula" - probably the largest and heaviest pterosaur ever found. The opportunity to be a palaeontologist yourself, so to speak, to uncover fossils and then take them home as souvenirs, makes a visit to the museum a very special experience. 1.5 kilometres of forest path around the museum invite you to wander through 400 million years of the earth's history and follow in the footsteps of the prehistoric giants. The path is lined with over 70 lifelike replicas of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals.
