The museum "Das Jurahaus (The Jurassic House)" vividly demonstrates that the so-called Jurahäuser not only have a centuries-old tradition, but also an equally long lifespan. The building itself is the main exhibit here. The house, which is over 350 years old, tells its story and that of its inhabitants - and at the same time provides information about this very special type of building, which only existed in the Altmühltal and its side valleys and prevailed for a good 800 years: half-timbered or quarry stone, covered with limestone slabs, cubic and straightforward.
