Burgruine Runding (Runding castle ruin)
All that remains of the largest castle complex in the Bavarian Forest - which once covered an area of around 18,000 square metres - are the ruins. Archaeological excavations have now completely uncovered the main castle and the walkable rampart is almost 400 m long. Under the motto "Experience history", information boards provide information about the original buildings and their function, and a small exhibition tells the story of the castle and the everyday life of its inhabitants. In the old church in the centre of the village, a small exhibition also presents the results and some finds from the archaeological excavations. The outdoor facilities are open around the clock.
