Bier- und Oktoberfestmuseum (Beer and Oktoberfest Museum)
Beer culture the old Bavarian way can be found in one of Munich's oldest town houses. On the way through the house, in which among other things a ceiling painting from 1340 and the "schwarze Kuchl" (black room) have been preserved, numerous objects related to beer tell of the path of Munich's small-scale craft brewing industry to the large breweries of the 19th century, which are world-famous today. The rooms on the upper floor are dedicated to the history of the Oktoberfest. In keeping with the exhibits, beer is also served in the museum lounge.
