Besucherzentrum Welterbe Regensburg im Salzstadel (Regensburg World Heritage Visitor Center in the Salzstadel)
2000 years on two floors: In the Salzstadel, visitors embark on an entertaining journey through the history of the World Heritage city of Regensburg. Originating as a Roman camp, the city flourished in the Middle Ages in particular. As a city of imperial diets, it was a global political centre, and as a city on the river, an international trading metropolis. The everyday life of the people is illuminated, as are the impressive buildings that have survived the ages, and highlights include an interactive city model that brings the city to life through the centuries and the World Heritage globe, which provides an overview of all World Heritage sites worldwide.
