Bayerisches Schulmuseum (Bavarian School Museum)
How and what did the first humans learn? Have there always been exercise books? What did lessons look like 100 years ago? The Bayerisches Schulmuseum (Bavarian School Museum) presents the history of learning and teaching from the Stone Age to the present in a vivid and entertaining way. For example, in the "Schreibstube", which is dedicated to the development of writing. Here you can write on Egyptian papyrus, scratch on wax tablets and try out letterpress printing with lead type. In the historical classroom from 1920, today's school classes can experience the strict discipline of past generations of pupils. Another section provides insights into the Jewish school system in Bavaria from the early 19th century to the present day.
