The somewhat brittle term "trimmings" hardly gives a clue as to what is hidden behind it: Braids, lace, tassels, appliqués - in other words, trimmings for fabrics. The Aurnhammer collection in the town palace provides an insight into the history of the eponymous family, who founded the first trimmings manufactory in Treuchtlingen. On display are a variety of products from centuries of production (ribbons, braids, uniform effects) as well as the history of the castle in which the family lived from 1798 to 1979.
