Archäologisches Museum Bad Königshofen im Grabfeld (Archaeological Museum Bad Königshofen im Grabfeld)
The prehistory and early history of eastern Lower Franconia, especially the Rhön and the grave field, is the subject of the museum in the "Alte Schranne", a former granary. The highlights of the collection are the rich grave furnishings of the Hallstatt period from neighbouring Großeibstadt. The richness of the Hallstatt period continues into the following period. Of particular importance are the finds from the Thuringian noble burial ground of Zeuzleben from the 6th century A.D. Finds from the High Middle Ages and modern times are at the end of the tour of the museum.
