2,000 years of urban history: The Archäologischer Park Cambodunum (Cambodunum Archaeological Park) presents the Roman city of Kempten, visible in monuments and finds from over 130 years of archaeological work. Ancient life becomes tangible in the temple district and the Small Baths, the private baths of the Roman governor. In the open park area, the foundation walls of the forum and basilica mark the centre of the first capital in the Alpine province of Raetia. Since autumn 2020, visitors can experience ancient Kempten interactively with the Cambodunum app and at many experience stations and immerse themselves in everyday Roman life with the help of virtual reality.
