Altmühlzentrum Burg Dollnstein (Altmühl Center Dollnstein Castle)
A small silver engagement ring, coral beads, remnants of precious textiles and almost 4,000 silver coins: The Dollnstein treasure trove was a minor sensation. During repair work in 2007, an inconspicuous clay pot from the 14th century was discovered - and its spectacular contents. It has now been professionally restored and can once again be admired in its entirety at the site where it was found in the former castle stables. These buildings from the middle of the 15th century are the last remains of the former castle complex. They have been extensively renovated and are now home to the Altmühl Centre, which sheds light on various aspects of the Altmühl region.
