In the mill, which was first mentioned in a document in 1467, the complete mill equipment from the 1920s to 1930s has been preserved on four floors. Electricity was also generated in the mill from 1897 onwards. The exhibition "110 years of electric light in Dietfurt a. d. Altmühl" on the ground floor provides information about this.
