Karl Valentin and Kurt Schwitters will have their 75th death anniversaries in 2023. Not on the same day, but very close to each other. Kurt Schwitters, the great Dadaist from Lower Saxony, died on 8 January 1948 and Karl Valentin, the incomparable universal artist from Munich, died almost to the day, one month later, on 9 February 1948. This event was the occasion and impetus for the project group to honour these two great artists, of whom it is not known whether they ever met in person, in a book publication.

On display in the exhibition are around 40 of the collages, complemented by pages from the book, a kind of "making of" this adventurous and wild project. Made to look at, to read, to remember two kindred artists: Karl Valentin and Kurt Schwitters.
