Over the past few years, photographer Walther Appelt has travelled through the most remote corners of Franconia, visiting the last genuine Franconian inns and corner shops. The clocks tick differently here. Slower. The pictures do not show insider tips or best-offs, but quite normal shops and pubs - and yet very special ones: Franconian ones.
