Enzo Isaia
Photography degli anni 60
30.03.2025 - 17.08.2025 ,
Töpfermuseum Thurnau (Pottery Museum Thurnau)
Born in Pordenone/Italy in 1941, photographer Enzo Isaia began taking his camera to the streets in his early twenties and photographing Italy during a decisive period: The period of emigration from the south to the economically up-and-coming metropolises of northern Italy. He paints a poignant, personal and thought-provoking picture of Italy in the 1960s.
Enzo Isaia initially attended the Faculty of Architecture at Turin Polytechnic, but gave up his studies to devote himself entirely to photography. He became known above all for his automotive photography - he was the official photographer for Ferrari and Maserati for over fifteen years. His real passion, however, is black and white photography, which ranges between portraiture, reportage, architecture and landscape.
Iasia has exhibited his work in countless solo and group exhibitions. Thanks to the mediation of Wolfgang Krebs, he is coming to Thurnau in 2025. The exhibition is scientifically supported by the Institute for Franconian Regional History at the Universities of Bayreuth and Bamberg.
