Line and area
Günter Nosch - Ursula Kreutz
25.05.2025 - 03.08.2025 ,
Städtische Galerie Cordonhaus (Cordonhaus Municipal Gallery)
What is a line, what is an area? Is it "a landscape" or "a stretch of land"? Where are the boundaries? From 25 May to 3 August 2025, the Städtische Galerie Cordonhaus (Cordonhaus Municipal Gallery) will be exploring these questions in dialogue with viewers.
The exhibition by Günter Nosch (1956) and Ursula Kreutz (*1969) explores the field of tension between line and surface, movement and structure in a subtle juxtaposition. Under the title "Line and Area", the works of the two artists enter into a multi-layered dialogue. Nosch works with graphic reduction and rhythmic lines that suggest space and dynamics, while Kreutz opens up geographical and emotional spaces with colour-accentuated surfaces and compositional density. Ursula Kreutz's works combine to create a visual-poetic language of forms in which light, movement and materiality play a decisive role. In Cham, Ursula Kreutz will be showing a new site-specific spatial installation.
