Gingerbread is an indispensable biscuit at Christmas time. It comes in a wide variety of flavours, shapes and sizes. But it always impresses with its interplay of sweetness and spices, which has been perfected over time.

It's no wonder that gingerbread has a tradition dating back thousands of years. But where does this sophisticated delicacy come from? The exhibition in the ground floor rooms of the Cordonhaus explores this question and offers a varied supporting programme with gingerbread tasting, a children's programme and a guided tour!
