150 years of the Unterschleißheim fire brigade - a reason to celebrate! The Unterschleißheim Town Museum is celebrating this anniversary with a special exhibition. Because 150 years of FFU is 150 years of town history,
150 years of voluntary commitment, courage and solidarity from the people of Unterschleißheim.
The fire brigade is a saviour in times of need and a player in social life.
But the fire brigade is also a myth and a childhood dream. Who didn't want to be a
wanted to be a fireman or firewoman? Like so many volunteer fire brigades in Bavaria, the history of the FFU begins in 1874, and much has changed since then. The tasks of the fire brigade have become increasingly diverse, the vehicle fleet and technology have developed further and the personnel have also changed. The team
has grown considerably and become more diverse.
In this special exhibition, the city museum takes a detailed look at the events
the events of the last 150 years of the FFU. An appealing supporting programme with public tours, a storytelling café and a film afternoon round off the special exhibition. There is plenty on offer for children in particular:
On the roof terrace of the city museum, there will be a fire brigade-themed parkour for young museum visitors.
