Haller & Bachinger
21.03.2025 - 01.06.2025 ,
Stadtmuseum Deggendorf (City Museum Deggendorf)
Max Haller and Jörg Bachinger have a friendship. Personally, to art and in art. Neither of them make "works of art", but rather "works". Both describe themselves as "sculptors" rather than "artists", as this term seems too inflationary to them. They work and they work off each other: on the composition, on the material, on their own works and on the works of others. They work their way through the works of their colleagues and role models, on "boys' excursions" lasting several days, for example at the Münster sculpture projects.
Haller shaped and designed the historic Singerhof alongside his art, and many years ago granted Bachinger studio asylum for a short time as a quasi-patron because he was temporarily without a workshop.
This exhibition presents a cross-section of Max Haller's and Jörg Bachinger's works and their intersections.
