Wood makes an exhibition!
The exhibition illuminates the millennia-old connection between nature and man from different perspectives. Whether sustainable toys, Klo2Go or a model showing the latest research results - wood makes progress!
Wood makes branches!
The exhibition is growing like a tree and is now branching out further! For the first time, new objects, new hands-on stations and new focal points on the subject of "Wood makes things!
Wood is an experience!
Smell the scent of the trees, feel different types of wood, go in search of a partner with a groom's oak or relax on a wooden lounger in front of the museum. For children, there are wooden toys, a Punch and Judy show and their own puzzle booklet.
Wood joins in!
On Instagram and Facebook @holzmachtsachen you can find out more and bring your own ideas and projects on the topic to the exhibition: Posts tagged with #holzmachtsachen will be shown on a monitor in the museum as digital exhibits. You can also bring your wooden things directly to the museum and contribute to the exhibition.

Two exhibits are on show. A special pneumatic nailer that can be used to drive wooden nails. And a so-called bionic stool. This is modelled on nature. Only the material needed to make the stool stable was used. The excess wood was milled out. (opens enlarged image)

The paper consumption of individual countries is shown on a world map. It can be seen that the rich countries in the northern hemisphere consume the most paper. (opens enlarged image)
On the world map, the stacks of paper from packaging, graphic papers for writing and printing and for writing and printing as well as hygiene and speciality papers demonstrate the paper consumption per capita in one day in six selected countries. An installation uses sawn-out leaves to show which tree species is suitable for the manufacture of certain products. (opens enlarged image)
