The cabinet exhibition is dedicated to the mysterious "Corinthium Aes" - the "Corinthian ore". Knowledge of the production process for this special metal alloy was long considered lost. Myths and legends surround its creation. Objects made from Corinthium Aes are characterised by a deep purple to almost black patina, which - once damaged or scratched - can be restored simply by touch and contact with skin perspiration.
