The special exhibition "An Egyptian Story. Paintings by Alaa Awad" shows selected works of art by the contemporary painter Alaa Awad, who became known as a street artist through his large-scale murals in Cairo in 2012. The exhibition takes up his most important creative phases: in addition to impressive oil paintings and drawings for which Alaa Awad finds inspiration in ancient and contemporary Egypt, the artist will create a new mural live in the exhibition as a special highlight.
